Fred shares his Experience, Strength and Hope. After many years of trying and failing to get sober, he finds himself at a conference for Adult Children of Alcoholics (ACA), with his mother. And has been sober since. We never know how or when we'll get sober; Fred's story is a beautiful example of not giving up before the miracle happens.
Quotes
"When I picked up a drink I didn't know when I would put it down, or how many I would drink, or what the consequences would be."
"God pops up in strange ways that I never expected, and he shows up almost everywhere I look . . . and that produces a great, deep relaxation in me that no drug ever did, that I was always looking for in the drugs I used."
