Raised as a Seventh Day Adventist, Carla grew up with a lot of rules and guidelines. Because she never lost the ability to control her drinking, never blacked out and was picky about the alcohol she did consume, coming to terms with being an alcoholic was extremely difficult for Carla. But eventually she did . . . and that was 35 years ago.
